LCKids loves (REACH), ministers to (GROW), and equips (SERVE) children from birth through fifth grade and their grown-ups to develop personal friendships with Jesus and to REACH, GROW, and SERVE others as His disciples.

We may be the smallest disciples on campus but we are mighty warriors for Christ.

Sunday Children's Message

Join our Director of Children's Ministry, Rachel Buchheil, for a children's message during the streamed services on Sunday mornings!


Nursery is available downstairs for ages birth to preschool during Long's Chapel in-person worship experiences.

Check-in and classrooms for the Nursery can be found downstairs.

The Hangout

The Hangout is a free, after school program hosted by Long's Chapel. Children grades K-8 are invited each day to The Hangout where they will receive a free snack, homework help, and access to games, crafts, special activities, reading help, and build relationship with friends and caring adult volunteers.

Parents' Night Out

Each of us needs a break, a breather, sometimes! Parents’ Night Out (PNO) is a monthly program for parents to drop off their children for an evening of fun and fellowship. Enjoy respite, schedule some in some self-care, or have a date night. You’ll find us from 5:00-9:00 PM in our Fellowship Hall. Meet our Director of Children's Ministry

Rachel Buchheil

She graduated from Belmont University with a degree in music therapy and church music. She is currently pursuing her Master's of Divinity with a chaplaincy concentration through Regent University. She has had various opportunities working with children in many settings including children's ministry, music ministry, inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, afterschool programs, and summer camps. She says, "I have known for a long time that I love working with kids, and each of these opportunities confirmed this! In my free time, I love to bake and explore the outdoors. I am so excited to be joining Long’s Chapel as the Director of Children's Ministry and getting to work with all of the amazing kids and families!" Rachel's email is
