What Is GriefShare?
A support group to help you move through the grief process
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
A typical GriefShare session includes three parts:
Video Seminar: Each meeting begins with a video featuring grief experts, counselors, pastors, and people who have experienced loss sharing practical guidance and encouragement.
Group Discussion: After the video, participants have the opportunity to talk about what they are experiencing and reflect on the topic together in a supportive, confidential setting. Sharing is always optional.
Personal Reflection: Participants receive a workbook with helpful tools, journaling prompts, and insights to continue processing grief throughout the week.
You are welcome to join a GriefShare group at any time during the 13-week cycle. Each session stands on its own, so you can attend whenever you are ready.
