Children's Sunday School
Nursery (0-3yr.)
Nursery is provided during all three worship services. The nursery department
is made up of three rooms: infants, younger toddlers, and older toddlers. The nursery is staffed by a CPR certified paid attendant and a team of trained volunteers. The nursery rooms are open 15 minutes before a
service. Children must be picked up by an adult after a service.
The nursery has a paging system to reach you if your child is in need. As you sign in your child, you will receive a pager. Pagers are set to vibrate to eliminate distractions during the worship service.
Infants (birth-12 mo.): Room 305
Adults care for all babies in this room. Swings, playpens, and cribs are available. Snacks are not provided. We recommend that walkers be placed in the toddler room; however, we will honor a parent's request to keep their child in the infant room.
Younger Toddlers (12-24 mo.): Room 304
The children in this room are cared for by adults and teenage apprentices, who are recommended by the Youth Director. Children are offered Ritz crackers, Cheerios, Goldfish, Animal Crackers, and water during snack time. If your child has an allergy to any of these, please inform the nursery attendant on duty.
Older Toddlers (24-36 mo.): Room 111
The children in this room are cared for by adults and teenage apprentices, who are recommended by the Youth Director. Children are offered Ritz crackers, Cheerios, Goldfish, Animal Crackers, and water during snack time. When your child turns 3 years old and is potty trained, you will have the option to continue to use the Nursery or have your child attend Children's Church and/or Children's Sunday School.
Children's Church (3-6 yr.)
Children's Church is offered in rooms 307/308 at the 8:20 and 11:00am services for ages 3-6. Children learn Bible truths, have a fun snack, sing songs, and do art activities.
With the growth of the church, we realize that there is a need for activities for children above Children's Church age during the 11:00 service. Therefore, we are planning a program to accommodate this need. While we are in this process, our Children's Ministry Director will be taking any children over 7 during the 11:00 Children's Church time. They will hang out in room 312 and play games, watch short videos, and just get to know each other better.
Children's Sunday School
Children's Sunday School is at 9:40 for 3 years of age through 5th. grade, and 11:00 for 7 years old through 5th grade. For our younger children, a more traditional style of Sunday School is offered, while our kindergarteners through 5th. graders participate in a Workshop Rotation.
Workshop Rotation recognizes that children have different learning styles and needs. This program provides an exciting and interactive format for children to learn Bible truths and stories. Every month we have a theme we explore. The children are grouped into classes by age, and each Sunday the classes rotate to a new room for a new activity. Each month we have three workshops and we they to make them different each month. Workshop rooms that the children rotate through cover areas such as:
- Bible Temple (storytelling and games),
- Movie Theater (watching a film),
- Master's Mountain Theatre (Drama),
- Daily Bread Cafe (cooking), and
- Carpenter's Workshop (art)
Children's Sunday School time begins with an opening session for all children. During this time, there are games related to the current theme, attendance is taken, and prayer requests are made. Kindergarten and grades 1-2 meet in room 309 for their opening, while grades 3-5 meet in room 312. Opening lasts from 9:40 to 10 am when the children move on to their workshops of the day.
Room assignments for Children's Sunday School are:
- 3 year olds (9:40): Room 311
- 4-5 year olds (9:40): Room 307
- Kindergarten - 5th. grade (9:40): Rotating
- 7 year olds through 5th. grade (11:00 only): Rooms 312 & 313
