Scouting

Long's Chapel is committed to providing programs for youth that build confidence, character, and courage to prepare them to become vital parts of the world community.  Thus, we support and embrace both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts within our church community.. We believe that the Scout creed of community service is an excellent way for youth to serve in their faith while building life skills and life-long friends.  Scouting complements the school and the family, filling needs not met by either. Scouting develops self-knowledge and the need to explore, to discover, and to want to know. Scouts discover the world beyond the classroom, tapping the skills of others to learn and to become well-rounded people.

The scouting programs at Long's Chapel are open to all, without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin; membership at Long's Chapel is not required to participate in any of the scouting programs offered in our facility.
