Welcome to the Long’s Chapel Youth Ministry, the Revolution Student Ministries.  We want our youth ministry to be the catalyst in preparing our students to live spiritually bold lives in a culture desperately needing to see the difference that living for Christ makes.  The apostle Paul explains that we are in a spiritual battle and calls us all to “watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong!”  We want our youth ministry to ignite students into spiritual revolution.  Our program is intended to be a training and proving ground for the next generation of more fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our Sunday evening youth gathering schedule offers an exclusive time for each of the age groups.  Middle school youth (6-8 grades) begins at 4 pm and high school youth (9-12) begins at 6:30 pm, with a 6 pm joint snack supper in between.  On Wednesday night, the BIGGEST thing in youth ministry is small. Our small groups ministry, also known as FUEL NIGHT, is designed to build strong core relationships while discussing relevant issues in the lives of our youth.  We offer a small group for each gender and age.  Our small groups are the backbone of our entire ministry which has already resulted in lives being changed and deeply affected.  We offer multiple opportunities offered through our student ministry, including but are not limited to:

  • Winter Retreat
  • Summer Missions Trips
  • Fall Retreat
  • Concerts
  • Dodge Ball
  • Fundraisers
  • Day Trips
  • Community Involvement
  • Food
  • 9 Square
  • And much, much more!

 

The Revolution Youth Ministry has its own home directly below The Venue - The Underground!  The Underground is a place for our youth AND their families to come and hang out, invite friends, listen to guest bands and speakers, and to hear the life changing truth found in scripture.  We want parents to challenge their kids to a game of ping pong, air hockey, or Ms. Pac Man.  We want our youth to invite others to a place where God and good times are friends.  The Underground serves as a multifunctional youth area where our youth are welcomed, befriended, and challenged to grow from the truth found in scripture and through the various activities and events offered here.

                                                       

 

 

 

 

This years' Annual Youth Flea Market is set for Saturday May 24th from 7am to 4pm outside in the Venue parking lot (or in the Fellowship Hall in case of bad weather).  The youth are asking for donations to be a part of this fundraiser that will be used towards their summer trips.  Please donate items that are in good condition.   We are accepting anything and everything from thimble collections to boats and cars and everything in between.  We are able to store your items now so if you are ready to let go of something now, please contact Shawn at 456-3993 ext. 13 to make arrangements for your item(s) to be dropped off.  We can also give you a thank you letter for your donated items to be used for your tax records if you like.  Please consider supporting our youth in this way as you also help yourself get stuff out of your house!  Thanks so much!
