Each year the Missions Ministry sponsors education opportunities to increase awareness about local and Conference ministries and the issues they address. We accomplish our education goals through special awareness Sundays, bulletin boards, ministry fairs, and articles in our church bulletin and newsletter. Periodically, missionaries and other noted speakers are invited to share about their work and issues such as poverty, hunger, and social jus­tice. The goal is to stimulate the members of the church and persons in the local community to examine the relationship of our Biblical faith to major problems/issues of social justice in our world. The Missions Ministry recognizes that awareness breeds action. It is our goal to educate and make our congregation aware of the need for study and action concerning spiritual and social issues in the local community and around the world.
