Welcome Ministry

Parking Attendants 

For the Sunday 9:45 and 11:00 services and special services, parking attendants are on duty to direct parking and eliminate parking stress for our members and visitors.

Welcome Center                 

The Welcome Center, located in the church entryway, is a place for visitors and members to come for assistance, obtain information on the church, pick-up ministry brochures, and find out what our upcoming events may be. We provide assistance in locating Sunday School rooms, phone locations, rest rooms, prayer areas, etc. Visitors are encouraged to come to the Welcome Center to sign our guest book and pick-up their free gift from Long’s Chapel.

Greeters

Every Sunday morning, greeters are outside the building, at each entrance, greeting each person/family as they enter and handing out bulletins. They assist people in need by opening doors, holding umbrellas, offering to carry items, etc. They also direct visitors or members needing assistance to an Usher or the Welcome Center.

Ushers

The ushers are responsible for the comfort and safety of our congregation and visitors as they attend worship. They help people feel welcome and find their way, escorting visitors to the Nursery, Student Life Center, Welcome Center and Coffee/Hospitality areas. They help late arrivals find seating, collect the Sunday offering, help with communion Sunday, as well as counting the number of people in attendance. Ushers are trained for emergencies, identifying medical personnel within our church family that could be of assistance or by calling 911.

                                Coffee Hospitality

A coffee hospitality area is provided outside the Venue between services.  Guests are invited to enjoy different coffee brews as well as the informal socialization that occurs there.

                                 Pew Stewards

After the 11:00 am worship service, Pew Stewards straighten up the sanctuary by picking up any bulletins or other materials that may have been left behind and restocking pew supplies, such as offering envelopes, Connect Cards, pens, etc.
