Romans 10:14-15 asks "But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent?"  The Evangelism Ministry proclaims the message of Christ by personal involvement with the church body and local community.  They perform acts of love by welcoming new comers and members, ensuring the smooth operation of Sunday services, and promoting Christ through events within the community.

The labors of the Evangelism ministry are focused through the Welcome Ministry, which encompasses those tasks needed to ensure that the worship event proceeds in an inviting manner, and the Outreach Ministry which is aimed at spreading the hospitality of Long's Chapel throughout the local community as an invitation to worship God.
