    Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
    As the days of Advent draw us closer to the celebration of the birth of the Christ, I pray that this season will be filled with the love and joy that has come to the world. In that spirit I send this Christmas greeting to you with reflections on our faith and life together in this magical season.

United Methodist elves help out Santa in Greensboro
    A group of United Methodist Churches in the Greensboro District made it possible for Santa to visit families in their area that could have been overlooked this Christmas as they sponsored the second annual Christmas Store at West Market St. UMC on Saturday, Dec. 13.
    Nearly 200 needy families shopped for their children’s Christmas presents for only $1. For each
child in the family, parents could select a pair of
jeans, a shirt, a sweatshirt or sweater, a coat, a
toy, a book and a filled stocking. By paying the small price, parents could provide presents for their families in a way that gave them dignity and pride. More ››
